Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the virus strain that causes 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) or COVID-19. This novel coronavirus is an emerging global health threat. It caused approximately 3 million confirmed cases and also more than one hundred thousand deaths in the world until April 28, 2020. There is still no vaccine or specific treatment for this virus.  So far, the basis of most treatments has been supportive and the clinical efficacy for the suggested drugs is still under consideration.  The purpose of this review is to summarize the ongoing treatments such as several antivirals, convalescent plasma transfusion, or adjunctive medications, with the intent of serving as a resource for should be evaluated in various clinical trials.
