In vitro antimikrobna aktivnost različitih ekstrakata Verbascum niveum

Sažetak


Lekovito bilje je glavni sastojak brojnih lekova i farmaceutskih proizvoda, a antimikrobno dejstvo je dokazano za veliki broj biljnih ekstrakata i etarskih ulja. S obzirom da vrste roda Verbascum, koje su oficinalne prema Evropskoj agenciji za lekove ispoljavaju antimikrobna svojstva, ali i da postoje vrste ovog roda koje još uvek nisu dovoljno proučene, cilj našeg rada je bila procena antimikrobne aktivnosti šest različitih ekstrakata vrste V. niveum. Ispitivanja su rađena sa jednim gljivičnim (Candida albicans) i četiri soja bakterija (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphilococcus aureus i Enterococcus faecalis) mikrodilucionom metodom, prema preporukama Evropskog komiteta za ispitivanje antimikrobne osetljivosti. Rezultati su izraženi kao minimalna inhibitorna koncentracija (MIC) – najniža koncentracija uzorka, najčešće leka (u našem slučaju ekstrakta – mg/ml), koja sprečava vidljiv rast bakterija. Samo vrednosti MIC niže od onih za rastvarače se smatraju pozitivnim rezultatima. MIC vrednosti svih ekstrakata protiv svih testiranih bakterijskih sojeva su bile niže od MIC vrednosti rastvarača, ali u slučaju gljivice, rezultati su uglavnom slični. Dakle, ekstrakti su efikasni protiv bakterija, ali je njihova efikasnost protiv testiranog soja gljivica slabija. Vrednosti MIC su bile u opsegu od 0,39 do 1,25 mg/ml. Najizraženiji efekat je postignut sa etanolnim ekstraktom lista na soj Staphilococcus aureus (0,39 mg/ml). Prema našim rezultatima, utvrđeno je da ekstrakti ove biljne vrste ispoljavaju skromnu antimikrobnu aktivnost uprkos tvrdnjama da su divizme odlični antimikrobni agensi.
