Sažetak


Nova virusna bolest, izazvana SARS-Cov2 virusom od 2019. (COVID-19), koja je započela kao grupa neobjašnjivih slučajeva pneumonije u Vuhanu u decembra 2019., proširila se globalno i izazvala ozbiljnu pretnju po javno zdravlje. Ljudi su bili uznemireni zbog slučajeva COVID-19 koji se brzo povećavaju širom sveta i brzih promena u svakodnevnom načinu života. Pandemija COVID-19 uticala je na mnoge aspekte života, a jedan od njih je povećana upotreba interneta, posebno platformi društvenih medija. Prethodna istraživanja su jasno povezala pandemiju sa znacima stresa, depresije, anksioznosti i suicidnih misli, kao i sa prekomernom upotrebom interneta. Nalazi istraživanja sprovedenih širom sveta ukazuju da što je veći nivo stresa povezanog sa pandemijom COVID-19 kod pojedinca, to je veća sklonost ka razvoju zavisnosti od interneta. Uvidom u naučnu literaturu o COVID-19, mentalnom zdravlju i zavisnosti od interneta, zaključili smo da je tokom pandemije COVID-19 došlo do povećanja vremena provedenog na internetu usled smanjenih društvenih aktivnosti, što je posledično dovelo do zavisnosti od interneta, a samim tim i psihičkog distresa, povećane usamljenosti i depresije.
