Palijativno zbrinjavanje obolelih od Parkinsonove bolesti

Sažetak


Parkinsonova bolest je hronična, progresivna, neurodegenerativna bolest od koje najčešće oboljevaju osobe starije životne dobi. Bolest karakteriše širok dijapazon motornih i nemotornih simptoma koji napredovanjem bolesti dovode do značajnog invaliditeta, zavisnosti od drugih osoba i narušenog kvaliteta života. Trenutno ne postoji lek koji može izlečiti ili zaustaviti progresiju bolesti. Palijativnim zbrinjavanjem uz holistički pristup i uključivanjem multidisciplinarnog tima većina simptoma se može držati pod kontrolom i pružiti podrška negovateljima što značajno doprinosi boljem kvalitetu života kako obolelih tako i njihovih porodica odnosno negovatelja.
