The corpus includes texts from 19th-century constitutions (adopted in 1835, 1838, 1869, 1888, and 1901) and the Collection of Laws and Decrees adopted by the Principality/Kingdom of Serbia. To isolate the normative-legal and ideological layers of the texts, the analysis employs a combination of historical-linguistic, syntactic-semantic, and functional methods, as well as legal theory methodology. As a result of the recent development of the Serbian language, the specifying meaning is only found infrequently in the examined corpus. Clauses introduced by the conjunction <em>с тим да</em> occur in postpositions and encode information of secondary importance to administrative-legal norms. Furthermore, an online (available) search of the Legal Information System of the Republic of Serbia reveals that the specifying meaning is only marginal even in modern legal language.</span></p> Jelena M. The aim of the paper is to show which male names are popular today and whether fashion takes precedence over tradition when choosing a child&rsquo;s name, as well as to determine the frequency of recorded names. Names are classified according to their origins, structures, and meaning. As no similar scientific research has been conducted in recent times, this study can be considered scientifically current and relevant, and it will make a modest contribution to the contemporary anthroponymy of Novi Sad.</span></p> Brankica Đ. The study involved 45 participants, including 30 high school students and 15 linguists, who were asked to identify the dialect origins of speakers from different dialect regions using a multimedia survey. The results of the study indicate that a person&rsquo;s speech does not always clearly reveal their dialect base. Furthermore, the standard language can also be acquired by speakers of Serbian who come from dialect regions that are distant from the dialects that formed the basis of the standard Serbian language. This study could pave the way for further research in the field of perceptual dialectology and contribute to a broader and deeper understanding of this phenomenon.</span></p> Miljana B. Despite their significance, his travel writings have received little scholarly attention thus far. His two articles, &ldquo;Letters from Paris&rdquo; and &ldquo;Letters from London&rdquo;, which were published serially in Theodor Pavlović&rsquo;s <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Serbski narodni list</em> in 1846, represent the genesis of Serbian travel epistolography, particularly those written intentionally for publication in periodicals. The paper focuses on imagotypical elements in Bogdanović&rsquo;s texts, analyzing French and English national characters comparatively. Using the methodology of comparative imagology, the paper explores the social, political, and literary factors that shaped the hetero-images of these two European nations in Bogdanović&rsquo;s travel letters.</span></p> Aleksandar M. After the defeat of the Illyrians and the establishment </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">of educational goals in the Roman province of Dalmatia, territorial and ethnic changes </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">occurred with certain tribes that academic circles were poorly informed about. The indigenous </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">feature, as indicated by the Illyrian names on the epigraph statues of east Herzegovina, </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">is significant. By conquering the Illyrian territory and establishing power over it, the </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Romans left its inhabitants certain autonomy, followed by the processes of urbanization </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">and Romanization from the 1st to the 4th century. After occupying the Illyrians, </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">the period in which the indigenous people were introduced into Roman social and </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">political order commenced. The following period was marked by the penetration and </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">establishment of the ancient culture and civilization in the Balkans as well as by the </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">work on the rule managemant with the Illyrians. Epigraph statues, various archeological </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">findings and oral sources shed light to a certain extent on these processes in the </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">territory of east Herzegovina. </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Archeological research and epigraph materials point to the conclusion that the </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">areas in the inland of east Herzegovina (the south of Dalmatia) in the Roman period </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">managed to perservere their regional ethnic characteristics for an extended period of </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">time, which is best seen in the onomastics from Dobrićevo, Ljubomir, Fatnica, and </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">Nevesinje. Some of the characteristic names found on epigraph statues from this area </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">are Zorada, Zanatis, Tattaris, Temus etc. Regional onomastics testifies that the traditional </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">lifestyles perservered in the Roman period for an extended period of time. However, </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">inscriptions can still be found with indigenous Illyrian names that were to some extent </span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: 16px;">adapted to the Roman onomastic system.</span></span></p> Gligor M. For this reason, it was the subject of extensive scientific research, while the nineteenth century was overlooked due to the lack of primary historical sources. Valuable descriptions of the monastery, providing details about its status and brotherhood, were left by Serafim &Scaron;olaja, Nićifor Dučić, and the Russian consul, Aleksandar Giljferding. The beauty of the monastery and its location along the Neretva River, on the way from Mostar to the coast, piqued the interest of many travellers, who left several records about it. A special place in the history of Žitomislić, and Serbian education in general, is held by the Spiritual School, the first of its kind in Bosnian Pashaluk, founded in 1858 by Nićifor Dučić and Serafim Perović. Like other Serbian monasteries and churches in Herzegovina, the Žitomislić Monastery survived the second half of the 19th century with occasional help from Serbia and Russia. This transformation followed the Serbian authorities&rsquo; struggle for national independence which Prince Milo&scaron; Obrenović endeavoured to establish trying to improve a postal network at the same time, so that a postal network with suitable staff could satisfy the needs of all citizens of Serbia.&nbsp;</span></p> Vesna O. <![endif]--></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;">In the churches of St. Dimitrije in Dobrotin near Lipljan and St. Nicholas in Kosovska Kamenica, there are iconostases whose icons were painted by the painter Hajji Kostadin Krstev from Veles in 1862. He worked on the territory of the Diocese of Ra&scaron;ka and Prizren in the first half of the seventh decade of the 19th century, when he painted the church of the Devič monastery, created the iconostasis in the church of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Veliko Ropotovo near Gnjilane, the iconostasis and wall painting in Dobrotin, as well as all icons, apart from those of the Great feasts, for the iconostasis in the church of Saint Nicholas in Kosovska Kamenica. Also, with the painter Ignjat from Veles, who helped him in painting of the church in Dobrotin, he created painted decoration for the throne of the miracle-working icon of Peć. The iconostases in Dobrotin and Kosovska Kamenica, as well as the one in Veliko Ropotovo, are modest three-zone wooden constructions. They were made according to the Balkan cultural model and zographic pictorial poetics, and they differ slightly from each other in terms of dimensions and the number of icons. Both iconostases have modest or no relief decoration. The iconostasis in the church of St. Demetrius in Dobrotin has only two throne icons and high parapets under them, the imperial doors that are not even painted, and north and south doors that are painted. Above the throne icons there are two rows of icons, arbitrarily arranged, with figures of saints and representations of Great feasts. At the very top of the iconostasis, there is a monumental cross with the crucifixion of Christ. On several icons in the higher zones, there were inscriptions, but only the one on the icon of the Shroud of the Holy Virgin is preserved and states that it was a gift from Milovan Ra&scaron;ić. The names of other donors are not legible. The iconostasis represents a unique whole with the wall painting. The iconostasis in the church of St. Nicholas in Kosovska Kamenica has a somewhat different appearance, but it was made and painted according to the same pictorial and dogmatic principles. It has five throne icons, the imperial and northern doors. In the second zone, there is a row of icons with the figures of the apostles, and above them a row of icons of the Great feasts, which are the work of Vasilije Djinoski. At the top, there is a painted Crucifixion of the Christ, set on the relief dragons. This paper presents in detail the iconography of all the icons, which were simultaneously compared to each other, as well as to the icons painted a year earlier in Veliko Ropotovo.</p> Ivana S. Our goal is to use them, applying the method of close reading, to get to what he called the mechanisms and instruments of every governing, that is, to the dispositifs of security. In order to achieve this, we first consider the distinction that Foucault drew between the art of conduct and the art of government (governmentality), and then the distinction between regulation and governing. In this framework, we review the writings in which Foucault introduced the issues of biopower, discipline and biopolitics, and we find that in the 1978 lectures, he made a far-reaching change by linking biopolitics, previously defined as a regulatory technique, to governing. In the central part of the paper, we analyze his thematization of the economic rationale of governing and the determination of liberalism as a general paradigm of governmentality in the modern era, which results in a society that, as he says, is controlled by security dispositifs. The security program, unlike the disciplinary one, does not aim to abolish or suppress anything, but rather to determine the optimal average and bandwidth of the acceptable for each phenomenon. Then, discussing the similarities and differences between disciplinary dispositifs and sexuality dispositifs, established through Foucault&rsquo;s books Discipline and Punish and Will to Knowledge (the first volume of the History of Sexuality), we ask the question about dispositifs in general. Then we apply the obtained findings to the constitution of the security dispositif as a way to embody that equilibrium (between optimal average and bandwidth of the acceptable) in the social reality. In the final part, we consider two cases (Fr&eacute;d&eacute;ric Gros on the fourth age of security and Didier Bigo on the ban-opticon) of the application of Foucault&rsquo;s theses to the period from the beginning of this century, emphasizing that the Foucauldian perspective, when all its constituents are taken into account, is neither pessimistic nor dystopian.</span></p> Branko Lj. The author accomplishes this not only by simply introducing the reader to the most important aspects of this relatively new teaching but also by examining each of them critically. Throughout his presentation, the author discusses all of the major influences on the development of this theory, starting with Marxism, (post)structuralism, and legal practice as a source of facticity. According to him, this academic-activist movement has at least three basic theoretical propositions: 1) the thesis about institutionalized racism in the United States from its founding to the present, 2) the thesis that race is not a biological but a cultural concept and, accordingly, the advocacy of anti-essentialism, and 3) thesis and decision to expand Critical Race Theory by introducing minorities (most notably, sexual minorities) into the game. The paper critically examines the idea that racism stems from skin colour, as well as the movement&rsquo;s decision to seek support outside the circle of racism-related problems. This expansion blunts both CRT&rsquo;s theoretical edge and its practical application, as evidenced by the fate of anti-racist and emancipatory movements. The notion of punishment is interpreted in the paper as a moral sanction (internal and external), as well as a physical punishment, which over ages turned into torture whose purpose was punishment for punishment's sake, not moral correction of violators of custom or law, to be useful upon their return to society. The transition from torture as a religious ritual to torture, which grows into a culture of punishment, is pointed out. Punishment in conditions of war and peace has a specific dimension. War as a teacher of violence (Thucydides) in most cases takes away the meaning of punishment, which has a moral function in peacetime. But even in times of peace, punishment is relativized. Michel Foucault writes about the contemporary panopticon and the supervision of the individual in society, who is, above all, punished by the institutions of positive morality and remains without personal identity, no longer as a self-conscious individual but as a simple individual. Under the influence of biopolitical power, he is deprived of responsibility for his own existence. He is entangled in invisible threads of social roles, like a spider&rsquo;s web, that he eventually stops being the bearer of. When he wants to make a moral judgment about a social relationship or a phenomenon that does not coincide with his understanding of the social world, he feels powerlessness or remorse because he cannot bear that his isolated value judgment clashes with the interests and public opinion of the dominant social group.</span></p> Zoran D. Le Guin (1929&ndash;2018), one of the most influential science fiction and fantasy writers, has had an almost cult status and loyal readership in the region of former Yugoslavia. However, some ten years before her departure, interest in her work decreased. Her most important titles were out of print, new editions were not available, and she was less frequently written about in Serbian journals and periodicals. This changed after her death when, as was to be expected, interest in her work was rekindled. In this paper, we present the critical reception of Ursula K. Le Guin&rsquo;s work in Serbian scholarly journals and literary periodicals from her death in January 2018 until the end of 2020. The aim of the research is to establish the extent and the way in which her opus (and, with it, speculative fiction in general) was presented and evaluated in Serbian scholarly journals and literary periodicals of this period. The presented results are part of a future, larger diachronic research of the complete reception of Ursula K. Le Guin&rsquo;s opus in former Serbo-Croatian-speaking territory. Based on the analysed material, Ursula K. Le Guin received significant posthumous reception in Serbian scholarly journals and literary periodicals &ndash; in total, 21 texts were published from January 22, 2018, until December 31, 2020. The quality of the academic articles does not differ from the quality of Serbian scholarly production in general, and they examined the work of Ursula K. A review of his theoretical assumptions reveals a clear shift in his understanding of creativity over time. The first model focuses exclusively on explaining the intrinsic characteristics of the creative individual, while subsequent studies recognize the significance of taking social context into account. In addition to theories that include traits of the creative individual, Sternberg also postulated a model that aims to explain the stages of the creative process. Given the qualitative differences between these two sets of explanations, the text is divided into two sections. First, the fundamental components and logic of each model are briefly presented. Second, models are contrasted with alternative ones that claim to explain the same aspects of creativity. The paper concludes that Sternberg&rsquo;s theories make a specific contribution to our understanding of creativity. On the other hand, certain contradictions and criticisms are also discussed, along with a potential solution.</span></p> Ivona J. Therefore, the issue of creativity development and the factors that influence it are becoming increasingly important, as is creativity research. The paper describes the basics of one of the models of creativity (the 4C model) as a model that can be used for a more comprehensive understanding of such a complex phenomenon as creativity. It then uses examples to demonstrate how analogies can be applied to each of the four levels of creativity described by the 4C model. Analogies can be a tool for encouraging creative problem-solving and behavior. This applies to all of the levels of creativity described. The pedagogical importance of creativity at the lower, initial levels (mini-c and little-c creativity), which serve as the foundation for the higher levels of creativity (Pro-c and Big-C creativity), was emphasized.
