Sažetak


Сврха ове студије је испитивање практичне важности вредности корелације између нивоа кортизола у плазми и пљувачке истраживањем метаанализе. На овај начин, истраживачи који се фокусирају на ниво кортизола код различитих појединаца да би одлучили о својој стресној ситуацији могу да користе системскије, практичније и поузданије доказе од одвојеног коришћења само нивоа пљувачке или плазме. У ту сврху прикупљене су корелационе студије од 2000. до данас, које су анализиране метаанализом. Резултати засновани на 18 величина ефеката (н = 743) открили су да величине ефеката корелација између нивоа кортизола у плазми и пљувачки представљају велике ефекте. Укупна комбинована величина ефекта (Хедгес’с = 1,55) је такође представљала велики ефекат. Ово откриће указује на практичну важност вредности корелације за студије стреса. Употреба вредности корелације за испитивање нивоа кортизола у студијама стреса биће детаљно размотрена.
