RAZLOZI ZA RAZVOJ KOMPLIKACIJA KOD KORISNIKA MEKIH KONTAKTNIH SOČIVA: KVALITATIVNA STUDIJA

SAŽETAK

Ciljevi: Određivanje faktora rizika i njihove prave uloge u razvoju komplikacija kod korisnika mekih kontaktnih sočiva.

Ispitanici i metod: Ova studija je bazirana na principima jednog oblika kvalitativne analize podataka- konstruktivističke utemeljene teorije. Studijsku populaciju su činile dve grupe ispitanika: 10 studenata korisnika mekih kontaktnih sočiva i 4 specijalizovana medicinska radnika iz oblasti oftalmologije. Sa svakim ispitanikom ponaosob je odrađen intervju. Na bazi audio snimaka ovih intervjua napravljeni su odgovarajući transkripti razgovora, koji su nakon toga analizirani, te se nakon izbacivanja suvišnih reči iskristalisalo 11 kategorija.

Rezultati: Preporuke oftalmologa imaju možda i presudnu ulogu u formiranju stavova koje korisnici mekih kontaktnih sočiva zauzimaju prema adekvatnoj higijeni kontaktnih sočiva: higijena ruku, odgovarajuća čistoća posudica za čuvanje mekih kontaktnih sočiva i upotreba rastvora u predviđenom vremenskom roku su imperativ za korisnike mekih kontaktnih sočiva. Spavanje sa mekim kontaktnim sočivima duže i češće od preporuka oftalmologa predstavlja jedan od najvećih faktora rizika za razvoj simptoma suvog oka, dok plivanje sa mekim kontaktnim sočivima povećava rizik za pojavu infekcije oka.

Zaključak: Glavni razlozi za pojavu komplikacija kod korisnika mekih kontaktnih sočiva su neadekvatna higijena i slabljenje komplijanse korisnika mekih kontaktnih sočiva u vremenu.
