Focus and Scope

The scope of the South European Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Research (SEJODR) is to promote research in orthodontics, paediatric dentistry, TMJ science, craniofacial and dental anthropology, 3D diagnostics, cranial and dental morphometrics, oral biology and genetics, oral public health and other fields of basic dentofacial research in South European countries.

The aim of the Journal is to be the major regional forum for international communication and education in the field of orthodontics, paedodontics and dental, oral and craniofacial anthropology.

SEJODR publishes original research articles, review articles, structured reviews, short communications, letters to the Editor, case reports, current topics and clinical articles in English.

SEJODR peer-reviews all original research, using independent referees and a double-blinded review process.

SEJODR aims to be one of the most prestigious journals of dental research within all aspects of orthodontics and basic craniofacial science.

SEJODR has excellence and innovative approach to publishing open access (define by BOAI definition of open access), providing free access for readers without publishing charges for authors.

SEJODR is the official journal of Croatian Society of Orthodontics CMA (Hrvatsko Društvo Ortodonata HLZ).

SEJODR provides many author benefits such as a liberal copyright policy, editorial support for author and wide dissemination through open access.

Peer Review Process

Peer review assists the editor(s) in making editorial decisions and also assist the author in improving the paper.

All papers submitted for publication in the SEJODR are subject to assessment by two or more independent referees in a double blind review process, in which neither the authors’ nor the reviewers’ identity are revealed.

SEJODR subscribes to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
