PALMOPLANTAR PUSTULOSIS AND ERUPTIVE PSORIASIS: A CASE REPORT
Abstract
This paper presents the case of a 50-years old female patient with palmoplantar pustular changes within the course of the eruptive (guttate) psoriasis. The diagnosis was based on the patient’s history, clinical and histology findings. The patient was treated by overnight local administration of betamethasone dipropionate and 3% salicylic acid with occlusive dressings, and twice daily by the same ointment on palms and soles.
The therapy was continued with acitretin 25 mg daily (in the morning, after breakfast), betamethasone ointment twice daily on palms and soles, and mometasone furoate cream in the morning and evening. This treatment led to significant improvement in the patient's condition.
