Sažetak


Polazeći od kognitivne teorije Bernarda Lonergana i od antikolonijalnih pokreta, rad zastupa tezu da se univerzalno shvatanje društvene dinamike postiže kroz lični susret sa društvenim pokretima potlačenih. U radu se dalje navodi kako je Marks implicitno primenjivao ovaj metod susreta ukrštenih horizonata, i na taj način stekao značajnu prednost u razumevanju. Rad ukazuje na marginalizaciju Marksovih uvida na zapadnim univerzitetima i na previde zapadnjačkog marksizma, naglašavajući značaj revolucionarnih političkih subjekata koji su se pojavili u Trećem svetu. Kako bi prevazišli svoja ograničenja, zapadni marksisti treba da se posvete neprekidnom ličnom upoznavanju s narodnim revolucionarnim pokretima Trećeg sveta.

Charles McKelvey is Professor Emeritus of Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, USA.  He is a U.S. citizen who resides in Cuba.  He is the author of The Evolution and Significance of the Cuban Revolution: The light in the darkness (London: Palgrave Macmillan, 2018).
