Mišljenje korisnika psihijatrijskih usluga o slici kakvu ostavljaju na druge i terminima koji ih stigmatizuju: razmatranje doživljene stigme i predloga za promenu termina

Sažetak


U radu se bavimo istraživanjem mišljenja korisnika psihijatrijskih usluga o tome kako ih drugi, „zdravi” vide, i terminima koji se koriste u javnom diskursu za osobe koje imaju psihičke tegobe, ali pre svega, interesuje nas koji su termini najadekvatniji i najprihvatljiviji za ispitanike. Ova tema je potpuno neistražena, što verovatno znači za našu naučnu javnost i nedovoljno važna. Podaci ukazuju da su najčešće korišćeni upravo stigmatizujući i diskvalifikujući termini, a da se preporuka SZO o korišćenju drugačijih (manje stigmatizujućih) ne poštuje u svim zdravstvenim ustanovama, a još manje u drugim institucijama ili radnoj organizaciji. Većina ispitanika smatra da ih drugi vide u negativnom svetlu kao „nefunkcionalne”, „drugačijeg raspoloženja i izgleda” i „opasne”. U radu predstavljamo i podatke o doživljenoj diskriminaciji u radnom i porodičnom okruženju iz dva intervjua. Smatramo da su osim preporuka za preimenovanje, potrebne edukacija u obrazovnim institucijama, dobro osmišljeni antistigma programi i odgovorno izveštavanje u medijima, i znatno veći broj istraživanja u kojima su ispitanici osobe koje imaju psihičke tegobe.
