Obrasci ponašanja zaposlenih u odnosu na mere zaštite na radu u kontekstu restrikcija tokom pandemije COVID-19. Primer poljoprivredne industrije u Zimbabveu

Sažetak


Pandemija COVID-19 prouzrokovala je ogromne nevolje velikom broju radnika na globalnom planu. Poremetila je normalan život i društveno-ekonomski milje u mnogobrojnim društvima, te dala novu definiciju prirode sveta rada. Izvesna ograničenja i mere za sprečavanje širenja i posledica koronavirusa uvedeni su zahvaljujući naporima vlade i pojedinačnih poslodavaca. One, pored ostalih mera bezbednosti i zdravlja na radu, obuhvataju obavezno nošenje maske, merenje telesne temperature, izbegavanje nepotrebnog kretanja i održavanje socijalne/fizičke distance. Na osnovu nalaza dve odabrane organizacije iz drvne industrije u Zimbabveu, zaposleni se ponašaju neusklađeno kada je reč o poštovanju i pridržavanju mera bezbednosti i zdravlja na radu uvedenih zbog virusa COVID-19. Rukovodstvo veruje da se zaposleni ne plaše pandemije i misle da je virus varka. Zaposleni pružaju otpor socijalnoj/fizičkoj distanci zbog kulturoloških uverenja i vrednosti; neki čak kradu dezinfekciono sredstvo za ruke i koriste ga u druge svrhe umesto za sprečavanje virusa COVID-19. Ova studija preporučuje efikasnu obuku, kampanje za podizanje svesti i delotvornu komunikaciju u cilju promene u kulturi i pomoći radnicima u poimanju činjenice da je COVID-19 veoma opasan po život i da je to naša stvarnost. Pokretanje disciplinskih mera protiv zaposlenih zbog nepoštovanja mera stvorilo je negativne percepcije i dovelo do kontraproduktivnog ponašanja radnika prema naporima da se upravlja i kontroliše širenje virusa COVID-19 na radnom mestu. Sindikati i radnički saveti imaju ulogu u poboljšanju komunikacije i zagovaranju radničkih interesa u cilju postizanja pristojnijih uslova rada u kontekstu koronavirusa. Država i poslodavci treba da osiguraju poštovanje fundamentalnih prava radnika koji i dalje rade tokom pandemije.
