Uticaj koncepta socijalne epistemologije na metateoriju bibliotekarstva

Sažetak


U ovom radu će se razmotriti nastanak teorijsko-metodološkog koncepta socijalne epistemologije kao pokušaja određenja naučnog statusa bibliotekarstva u uslovima naučno-tehnološke revolucije i pod uticajem socioloških ideja Čikaške škole. Pojavom prvih računara, novih informacionih medija i elektronskih mreža javio se strah da će knjiga postati prevaziđena, a bibliotekarstvo suvišna i anahrona delatnost. Džesi Hok Šera, pokretač i vodeći zagovornik, pokušao je da socijalnu epistemologiju ponudi kao alternativu klasičnoj teoriji bibliotekarstva. Analiza Šerinih i drugih relevantnih radova pruža uvide da ovaj koncept, iako začet u okviru teorijskog bibliotekarstva, nije u komplementarnom odnosu sa tradicionalnim strukovnim specifičnostima. Mada je socijalna epistemologija danas prihvaćena kao filozofska teorija saznanja, u kontekstu bibliotečko-informacione nauke nije rešila problem naučnog i profesionalnog identiteta u uslovima izmenjene tehnološke realnosti.
