Sažetak


Opekotine su jedan od vodećih uzroka morbiditeta i mortaliteta kod dece. Da bi se smanjili neželjeni efekti opekotina, neophodno je blagovremeno i adekvatno proceniti stepen oštećenja kod pedijatrijskih pacijenata. Ovo se pokazalo korisnim u definisanju terapijskih procedura kod dece sa ovim kliničkim stanjem. Adekvatna zamena tečnosti, ublažavanje bola i anksioznosti, kao i druga suportivna terapija mogu značajno smanjiti rizik od smrtnosti. Cilj ovog pregleda je procena stepena patofizioloških promena kod pedijatrijskih pacijenata sa opekotinama, što može pomoći u ranoj primeni odgovarajućih terapijskih procedura i poboljšanju ishoda kod ovih pacijenata.
