Redefinisanje uloge novinara u novom medijskom okruženju: ideologija novinarstva, polarizacija medija i socioekonomski položaj novinara

Sažetak


Iako su uslovi mahom mirnodopski, novinarstvo je, čini se, na prvoj liniji fronta, boreći se da opstane u novom komunikacijskom okruženju. Novinari posluju u snažno polarizovanoj političkoj i medijskoj sceni, koja zamagljuje osnovne postulate profesije. Dok gubi svoje ideološke temelje, profesija novinara nalazi se na socioekonomskoj klackalici: za novinare prekarna, a za urednike i menadžment često teži zoni elitnog komfora. Sve su češći pozivi novinarima da izađu iz stega medijskih konglomerata i počnu da posluju kao preduzetnici,iako takvo stanovište neretko deluje utopistično. Rad ima za cilj da ustanovi na koji način je uloga novinara redefinisana u novom medijskom, socijalnom i političkom okruženju, odnosno, da ustanovi na koji način je ta izmena uticala na osnovne postulate novinarske profesije i njenu praksu. Autorka polemiše o ulozi novinara kroz tri segmenta: analizira se redefinisanje pozicije novinara u konceptu nove socijalne stratifikacije i ekonomske polarizacije, zatim se promatra sve češće zagovorništvo samostalnog obavljanja „novinarske delatnosti”, dok se, na kraju, razmatra konceptualni okvir ideologije novinarstva i njegovo kretanje od uloge javnog servisa do uloge novinara „smatrača“, a neretko i „navijača“.
