Film kao sredstvo propagande: SAD i SSSR u vreme Hladnog rata

Sažetak


Dijametralno suprotni politički režimi SAD-a i SSSR-a u periodu između 1947. i 1989. godine aktivno su koristili film za propagiranje svojih ideologija. Cilj ovog članka je da istraži da li je razlika prisutna u domenu propagandnog djelovanja i da pruži odgovore na sljedeća istraživačka pitanja: Na koji su način SAD i SSSR koristile film kao sredstvo političke propagande za vrijeme Hladnog rata? Kada govorimo o plasiranju poruka filmom, da li postoji razlika u propagandnom djelovanju dvaju država? Teorijski osvrt na umjetničko stvaralaštvo u hladnoratovskom periodu, kao i deskripcija sadržaja šest analiziranih filmova, pokazali su da su ciljevi propagande dva režima bili istovjetni, ali i da postoje značajne razlike u propagandnim metodama. Primjetni su drugačiji objekti negativne kampanje, a uočena je i suprotnost u portretisanju neprijatelja, te u tretmanu ženskih likova. Daleko je manji kontrast u „pozitivnoj kampanji“, a obije su kinematografije nastojale da ukažu na „emancipatorsku“ prirodu sopstvenih vojnih intervencija. Kada su posrijedi analizirani promilitaristički filmovi, američka produkcija je otišla korak dalje, pa se, uz osudu američkog društva koje je odbacilo svoje heroje, radilo i na regrutaciji budućih vojnika. Navedene razlike su posljedica brojnih faktora, a njihovo poznavanje omogućava uvid u preovladavajuće društvene i normativne tokove i konflikte perioda Hladnog rata.
