Svetozar Marković i švajcarska demokratija

Sažetak


Svetozar Marković (1846–1875) u Švajcarskoj je živeo 1869–1870. i za to vreme upoznao švajcarski sistem neposredne demokratije, pogotovo u kantonu Cirih. I u Srbiji je postojala snažna tradicija opštinske samouprave, koja je počivala na opštinskim zborovima, kao obliku neposredne demokratije. Marković je želeo da po švajcarskom modelu reformiše Srbiju u savez samoupravnih srezova. U drugom koraku, prema Markovićevoj zamisli, srezovi i sama asocijacija postepeno bi počeli da poprimaju socijalistički karakter. Posle Pariske komune (1871), kada je i Marks prihvatio ideju komunalizma, a posebno kada se saglasio s idejom „ruskog“ puta u socijalizam – s osloncem na tradicionalnu seosku opštinu – stanovišta Markovića i Marksa su se potpuno približila. Stoga se i Marković sasvim slobodno može svrstati u marksiste. Ali, pošto je izričito bio za demokratski put u socijalizam (u fazi dva), Markovića možemo oceniti kao marksistu-demokratu.
