Улога и значај промовисања издаваштва на енглеском језику у Републици Србији
Sažetak
Циљ овог рада јесте сагледавање и анализа обима, облика и значаја издаваштва на енглеском језику у Републици Србији, са посебним освртом на научне и стручне публикације, преводе домаће литературе и серијска издања, као и утврђивање начина на који ова издавачка пракса доприноси међународној видљивости српске научне и културне продукције, уз уважавање потребе за очувањем националног језичког и културног идентитета. Захваљујући објављеним радовима на енглеском језику, српски истраживачи, научници и други књижевни ствараоци могу да осигурају међународну транспарентност и препознатљивост у свету. Истовремено, тиме се обезбеђује глобална видљивост и дистрибуција која доприноси међународној културној размени. У раду је дат осврт и на важност преводилаштва у књижевности намењеној широј читалачкој публици уз подршку последњих статистичких приказа поменутој теми. На овај начин наша земља шири своје међународно присуство истовремено градећи конкурентну издавачку индустрију.
