Peer Review Process

Archives of Pharmacy uses single-blind review system for all papers. The review of the submitted papers is proceeded by two independent reviewers, who are experts in the field of pharmacy. The identity of the reviewers is not known to the authors of the submitted manuscript.  The opinion of the reviewers helps the editor in making the final decision regarding the accaptance of the manuscript and therefore the reviewers should give an objective opinion without making any subjective comments. After revision process has been finished, the comments of the reviewers are sent to the authors. Each reviewer comment must be answered by the authors and followed with the appropriate changes in the text or an explanation why correction in the text is not possible. If the work is rejected, the editor is obliged to inform the authors accordingly, with a proper explanation why such decision was made. During the review process the Editor-in-Chief may require authors to provide additional information (including raw data) if they are necessary for the evaluation of the manuscript. These materials shall be kept confidential and must not be used for any other purposes.

After accepting the revision, the reviewers are required to rate the work according to the reviewer form within 2 weeks. This deadline should be guide when reviewers are deciding wheather or not to accept to review the paper.

Only papers that have been checked for non-plagiarism are submitted for review. Plagiarism is checked using the iThenticate (CrossRef i CrossCheck) and only papers that are confirmed not to be plagiats are subjected to reviewer process.

In the case that the authors have serious and reasonable objections to the reviews, the Editorial Board makes an assessment of whether a review is objective and whether it meets academic standards. If there is a doubt about the objectivity or quality of review, the Editor-in-Chief will assign additional reviewer(s).

Additional reviewers may also be assigned when reviewers’ decisions (accept or reject) are contrary to each other or otherwise substantially incompatible.

The final decision on the acceptance of the manuscript for publication rests solely with the Editorial board.
