KATP kanali i kardioprotekcija
Sažetak
U ovom preglednom radu razmatraju se ATP-osetljivi kalijumski (KATP) kanali, koji povezuju unutarćelijski energetski metabolizam sa ćelijskom električnom aktivnošću i igraju ključnu ulogu u različitim fiziološkim procesima, posebno u pankreasu i kardiovaskularnom sistemu. KATP kanali se otvaraju kada se nivo ATP smanji tokom metaboličkog stresa, kao što je ishemija, pomažući tako u zaštiti srca od oštećenja održavanjem membranskog potencijala i sprečavanjem preopterećenja kalcijumom. Ovi kanali se nalaze u različitim tipovima ćelija širom kardiovaskularnog sistema, utičući na vaskularni tonus i ekscitabilnost srca. U radu se naglašava potreba za daljim istraživanjem specifične ekspresije podjedinica KATP kanala kod ljudi i posledica ishemijskih događaja na njihovu funkcionalnost. Takođe, istražuje se međusobni odnos glikolize i KATP kanala i sugeriše se da glikolitički ATP može modulisati aktivnost KATP kanala, pri čemu se naglašavaju kardioprotektivni efekti tokom ishemijskih događaja. Uočen je potencijal otvarača KATP kanala (KCOs) kao terapijskih agenasa za ishemijsku bolest srca, posebno u poboljšanju ishoda kod pacijenata podvrgnutim kardiološkim zahvatima. I dalje postoje izazovi u razvoju specifičnih KCOs sa minimalnim nuspojavama, ali napredak u preciznoj medicini može u budućnosti poboljšati ciljane terapije. Imajući sve ovo u vidu, KATP kanali predstavljaju obećavajuće mete za unapređenje kardiovaskularnog zdravlja.
