PROGRAM ELIMINACIJE MORBILA U EVROPI
Sažetak
Upotreba bezbedne i efektivne vakcine protiv morbila u nacionalnim programima imunizacije rezultovala je smanjenjem broja smrtnih ishoda bolesti, mada su morbili i dalje jedan od vodećih uzroka smrti dece ispod 5 godina u nerazvijenim i zemljama u razvoju. Posle uspešne eradikacije variole, kao i postignutih rezultata u eradikaciji poliomijelitisa na globalnom nivou, pokrenut je proces eliminacije morbila primenom do tada poznatih strategija.
U oba američka regiona Svetske zdravstvene organizacije (SZO), eliminacija morbila je uspešno verifikovana, a na prostoru Evropskog regiona SZO, zaključno sa 2020. godinom, eliminacija je verifikovana u 29 od 53 zemlje.
Glavni izazovi u procesu eliminacije morbila su dostizanje i održavanje visokog obuhvata imunizacijom, dostizanje i održavanje vrednosti indikatora epidemiološkog nadzora, sprovođenje dopunske imunizacije nevakcinisanih i nepotpuno vakcinisanih osoba, rešavanje ozbiljnih problema kao što su pojava epidemija morbila u vulnerabilim grupama, endemsko održavanje bolesti, ponovno uspostavljanje transmisije virusa, utvrđivanje lanaca transmisije, genotipizacija agensa, uticaj mera kontrole pandemije COVID-19.
Imajući u vidu navedene probleme, SZO je odlučila da se eliminacija morbila u Evropskom regionu SZO pomeri za 2030. godinu.
