Abstract

The problem of research is analysis of the impact of specific technical and tactical elements on successful realization of the attack in football game. Specifically, the aim of this paper as well as the overall direction of research is oriented to the analysis of two thematic areas. The first is to identify the determinants of the efficiency of shoot, while the second is focuses on the comparative analysis of the effectiveness of shoot between the victors and defeated teams. The research was conducted on a sample of 16 teams at the last World Cup in football in South Africa in 2010. The previously defined variables are divided into the six categories: the frequency of taken shoots, the players who have shooting on the goal, the manner in which the shoot was performed (one contact, two contacts, two or more contacts), the types of shoots, the shoots with foot, the shoots with head, the kinds of shoots from the game. The data obtained from the experimental research have been processed by using of empirical and statistical methods of comparative statistics. The result of research indicated to a great variety of taken shoots, and the most frequent among them were the following: the shoots in the frame of the goal, from the attacks, from the first contact with the ball, with the full foot, with the forehead and from the game. The analysis has shown that there is no statistically significant difference between two researched categories of samples (the victors and defeated).
