Sažetak


Uprkos sve većoj popularnosti esporta, još uvek se vrlo malo istraživanja može pronaći u samom području takmičarskog karaktera igranja video igara. Tačnije, istraživanja su u najvećoj meri još uvek kvalitativnog i eksploratornog karaktera. Imajući u vidu da esport sistematski privlači igrače (i publiku) u Srbiji već celu deceniju, a do sada ne postoji nijedan rad na srpskom jeziku na ovu temu u oblasti psihologije (sporta), cilj ovog rada je da pruži jedan sažet sistematski pregled dosadašnjih istraživanja, uz osvrt na postojeća metodološka ograničenja i relevantne psihološke varijable koje bi pomogle jasnijem definisanju granica između esportista, tradicionalnih sportista i problematičnih igrača.
