MORAL, RODNA PREDSTAVLJENOST I PRIKAZ RASNE POLITIKE U SERIJAMA IGRA PRIJESTOLA I TUĐINSKE STVARI

Sažetak


U radu se ispituje teza o elementima diskriminacije na osnovu roda, rase i morala u popularnoj medijskoj kulturi, sa akcentom na dvije televizijske serije: Igra prijestola (Game of thrones) i Tuđinske stvari (Stranger things). Glavno istraživačko pitanje odnosi se na to da li se u navedenim serijama mogu pronaći elementi diskriminacije koje najčešće nalazimo u holivudskoj produkciji? Metodom multiperspektivistčkih kulturnih studija i posmatrajući predmet rada kroz konstruktivističku paradigmu, autori su došli do zaključka da u popularnoj kulturi, tj. u serijama Igre prijestola i Tuđinske stvari postoje elementi diskriminacije: moral je dominantno nihilistički, sa malo likova koji posjeduju moralni integritet; rasna diskriminacija vidljiva je i u radnji serija i u izboru glumačke postave; rodna predstavljenost je stereotipna, muškarci dobijaju mnogo više prostora. Autori zastupaju stav da je nemoguće istraživati trenutne medijske efekte na publiku, već je moguće interpretirati poruke i značenja u popularnoj medijskoj kulturi.
